Fantastic creature

Le Châtelain is a queer artist known as “Clubkid” and a graphic designer based in Lyon. Officiating as Clubkid since 2017, his practice combines a multitude of artistic means in order to work on the question of a protean and mutable identity, tinged with transhumanism. Through performance, the creation of costumes or makeup, her work aims to create a field of experimentation on one's own identity by questioning one's relationship to nature, to the characteristics that make up the human and its social benchmarks. This involves the creation of universes and dreamlike narratives based on the environment and marine creatures in particular, placing them in a context of evolution and mutation propelled by human activity: what happens if instead of succumbing to pollution, these species adapt?

Le Châtelain will be present at the museum on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
